Li Yuan was born in Yantai city, Shandong province on May 29, 2000. He is 170cm tall and weighs 60kg. In 2018, Li Yuan began to participate in the WCBA league. The teams played for were Shandong women’s basketball and Inner Mongolia Women’s basketball. So far, Li Yuan has won one WCBA championship (2020-21 season) and three WCBA All-Stars (2019, 2021, 2023).
As for the national team, Li Yuan participated in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, the women’s basketball Asian Cup in 2019, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the women’s basketball Asian Cup in 2021and the women’s basketball World Cup in 2022with China women’s basketball.
Last season, she played 14 games for Shandong women’s basketball, averaging 27.9 minutes, scoring 8.9 points 4.9 rebounds 5.3 assists 1.9 steals, field goal percentage 30.5%, three-point shooting rate 19%, free throw shooting rate 76.5%.
