Live Bar, June 3 recently, Robert Horry, a former NBA player and seven-time champion, talked about his experience in rockets on The All The Smoke program.
Horry said: “Some people will discuss whether we can win the championship in 94 and 95 if Jordan does not retire. I knew we would win. I played for Phil (Jackson). When I was defending Duncan, Duncan scored 36 points on my head, so I wanted Phil to call bag clip tactics. But Phil didn’t have to bag clip. He always used one-on-one defense, and he would never bag clip in the face of big dreams.
“I already know that big dreams are stronger than Duncan, so the bull can’t stop big dreams.”
Jordan retired from NBA for the first time in 1993. Horry won two NBA championships with the Rockets (1994-95) and Jordan won six NBA championships (1991-93;1996-98).
