Carlisle said: “This is really a wonderful week, a wonderful week (ha ha ha), which shows that there are still people in the league who know who is a good coach. This timing is perfect. This contract will change the coaching industry, not only the head coach, but also the assistant coach. I think you may all have seen Kevin Yang’s salary. He signed the highest contract among teaching assistants.
“This is a good trend. Our game has become more interesting. Some people will criticize the league for throwing too many three-point goals now, but the space, speed and players’ skills are different from usual. You see, now there are centers that can shoot, organize, control the ball, and block and split. With the continuous evolution of the game, potential possibility is unlimited.”
