Speaking of his trip to Paris with Kobe, McGrady said, “I just finished the rookie season at that time. We went to Paris together in summer and we all brought our own trainers. I told Kobe that I was going to train, and he said why, it’s off-season now. I respected him very much. He played well that year, but I didn’t feel right. When I went back to the room, I relaxed for a while, and I still went to training.
“Ladies and gentlemen, when I arrive, Kobe is sweating there. He is already training.”
