Live Bar, May 28th recently, former NBA player arenas talked about the dismissed coaches in the Old Man and Three podcasting program.
Arenas said: “It was the cowardice of the management. They made the decision to hire but blamed the coach. They could not fire their own squid, so the simplest thing was to fire the coach. If my team cannot win, then the coach’s role is to develop players and make them better.
“You fired those champion coaches, who do you want to replace? Do you think someone will do better than them? This is the cowardice of the general managers. If they can’t cook good food, they blame the chef for his poor ability. What is a good coach? Isn’t winning important? Because these dismissed coaches can win.”
